Hi. I have Dell Vostro 3750 laptop. I build a pc, few month ago, but wanna renew/upgrade my laptop. It's worth to upgrade:
-i5 to i7?
-Add extra ram 8 or 16 gb?
-Add ssd and hdd to cd-rom tray?

Maybe I should sell it and buy something better? Or it will be good few years ahead? Main use for video, movies, browsing, light gaming, and spare computing device. It has geforce gt525m.

Thanks.

Solution
With a gt525m Light gaming is about all your going to do.

CPU+ thermal paste $35-$50
New Power Adapter will be needed for the i7, 130W instead of the 90W $25
RAM 8GB $25
SSD
128gb $25
240 GB $40
500GB $80

500GB SSHD $50
1TB Hard Drive $50

I could see an i5, SSD and 8GB of RAM but not much more, the upgrade value drops pretty fast after that. With a gt525m light gaming is about all it's capable off. Normally you also have to replace the keyboard at the same time, it's pretty common to have a key or two become non-responsive.

I will advise you to upgrade. This is because there is nothing indicating a heavy use of the system.
