I am going to buy an Olympus this time. Had TWO Nikon AW cameras and they BOTH stopped working relatively quickly.

My daughter is on her second Tough TG-860 camera. She was using it as it was suppose to be - in the outdoors - when the screen just stopped working. I bought her a second one and she just came back from her trip when she tells me the screen just stopped working again. She took extra care with this one. A search of the problem finds that many owners have been faced with this problem and Olympus has offered nothing. It is clear that this camera does not live up to it's name - 'tough'! I am hesitant to purchase the TG-4 for this very reason.
A very displeased consumer.

I bought the TG970 In US. and it's dead! just 2 days after bought it. so sad, i already come back to my country at that time. so, i tried to contact olympus service center. and they said that olympus never offer international warranty!! Good!! i'm so disappointed, but after 1 months, suddenly it turn on again with no problem, until my dive at June 2018. that is the first ever dive i had, i was too happy to get my own recording for my open water certification. But when i just in 3 meters depth at 10 minutes. the camera suddenly not working. i try to turn in on. But it can't. After 2 days since the camera accident. i found out there was so may salt inside my camera lcd. that i try to open the camera. and found out there was not for underwater seals!!! What!!! next i found out it made from Indonesia (my country)!!
