Better headphone than beats

The only difference with the ath-m50 is a detachable cable, and its 50$ more, its not worth it.

You should give us your budget, its very hard to recommend something without it, but i would recommend either the ath-m50, or, if its too expensive for you, the ath-m35.

yeah so budget is 50-60 $

I wouldn't go so far as under $500. They are competitive in the $150 price range.

Dollars or pounds? You posted an amazon uk link so I'm guessing you're in the UK. Things are more expensive there compared to the US.

Im in the Netherlands, like my max is 60 euro which is like 75 dollar (guessed)

Maybe a pair of Sennhesier HD 518s. It is open back though and has a neutral tone, compared to the Beats with lots of inflated bass.

The beats solo are on-ear headphones. On ear headphones are smaller and easier to wear around the neck. Over the ear headphones like the m50x listed above can be more comfortable but will feel like wearing a neck brace around your neck.

If your looking for a similar on-ear type I would go with the sony MDR-v55. IMO it has a slight bass bias like the beats but not as dramatic. Overall I would say they're a better headphone.

Just for reference I do own a pair of beats studio executives. I got them because I'm pretty rough with my headphones and liked they're aluminum build. After a while I got tired of how they felt around my neck and the fact that they needed to be battery powered. I got the sony's as a replacement and they've held up well so far.

I actually prefer open back, thank you !

They are also pretty high quality. Also, Beats aren't too high quality for the price.
