hi, i have a compaq f500, & the bios seems to be locked, how do i unlock it, because i want to change my ram thanks ivan

You want to put different RAM in the computer, or tweak the current RAM?

no i want to change it to 8500r ddr3 ram, but it
is locked, all i can change is the time & date, it will not let me go any further

Oh wait, change the RAM? You *should* be able to just install it. Check to make sure the RAM you want will work with your PC. *I'm not guaranteeing anything though!!* You shouldn't have to mess with anything in the BIOS, as long as it's compatible. AGAIN, check and make sure it is compatible with your PC!!!!!!!!
