Black and white screen

My Acer Apsire has a black and white screen. Black on the top and white on the bottom. The screen is cut completely n half. It's just under a year old but they will not cover it. Anyone know how to fix this?

connect to an external monitor. If it does the same thing on the external monitor it's a GPU issue and would need a board replacement to fix. If it does NOT replicate on the external monitor and looks normal on the external then it's an issue with either the screen itself or Video cable.
