Sorry if this isn't the right spot for this, couldn't find where to post desktop computer questions.

I'm running a desktop computer with three monitors. Today I noticed a small black square on my middle monitor with some light grey fraying around the edge. I thought at first it was dead pixels, and so I unplugged the monitor to try and see if I could fix it.

However, to my surprise the dot jumped over to one of my other monitors! And upon plugging the original back in I saw the dot was gone.

This made me conclude it couldn't be a dead pixel, and I even took a screenshot with the part of the screen containing the dot. And the dot was in the screenshot.

It went away for awhile after I restarted the computer but it has reappeared and I couldn't find any information on what it could be. My components are listed bellow in case that helps:

  • GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING OC 8GB
  • MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI AM4 ATX Motherboard
  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz Six-Core AM4 Processor
