Black screen no bootable device please restart system

I have a black screen it says no bootable device please restart system what do I do I was simply trying to refresh the PC it restarted and went to the black screen with that error message please help I'm very not tech savvy
I have not used my laptop in a long time and I was simply trying to refresh it so the Wi-Fi would work better with my hotspot on my phone and this message is what came up when I restart it the system they gave me the option I press the restart button and I get nothing but black screen with the error message no bootable device please restart system

I have the same black screen with the same message "No bootable device please restart system" on my Toshiba Encore 2 WT10-32a. Just 2 days ago when I went to use the tablet I got this message. I had not done anything different than I had been doing. I only use this occasionally but it is a pain not having the tablet to use. Did anyone offer you a viable solution to this error?
