Blackberry 8830 unlock?

Hey guys.

I've got an old BB 8830 World Edition here, that I need to use until I can afford a replacement for my damaged phone. Now I got it with Bell a few years ago. My question is: If I can manage to unlock the phone, will it work with my Koodo sim card (For those who don't know Koodo is a sub-brand of Telus here in Canada). Or do I even need to unlock it to use with the Koodo SIM card? Considering it IS a world edition phone.

You need to talk to your carrier. It might or might not be unlocked, I'm not sure.
