BlackBerry help

If anyone needs any BlackBerry help on here I am fairly knowledgeable on them - my friends and family that own them tend to call me when they have a problem or need to know how to do anything. My partner used to work on a helpdesk for a well known insurance company and he sometimes got calls regarding staff BB problems - he would BBM me and ask me what to do. So feel free to ask away either here or send me a message.

I've had the Blackberry Bold 9000 for almost two years now. Around September of last year the phone started crashing on me. The screen would go white which from what I learned indicated an OS crash. I upgraded to OS 5 in December or so. The phone will still crash or will turn off randomly. When I restart/reboot it it normally comes back with zero battery charge and the network and wifi service switched off making it useless.

Do you know what's going on with this and if it's common?
