Blank screen on MSI PE60 after bios update

So I bought this laptop brand new on eBay. It was working fine until I decided to update the bios from MSI website. I downloaded the latest bios and put it on a flash drive and proceeded to flash the bios. All went well and the laptop restarted...to a blank screen. The keyboard lights up. I can hear the fan etc. I've tried disconnecting the battery and holding down the power button. Also I tried moving around the ram stick to the secondary slot, I also removed the cmos battery and also pressed the little jumper button for the cmos battery. I also tried disconnecting the hard drive and DVD burner and connecting the flash drive in attempt to reflash the older bios. I also tried connecting a HDMI cable to the laptop to a secondary display. The problem is none of this works. Nothing shows up on the screen or a secondary display no matter what I do. I see lots of other individuals with this issue relating to flashing bios on MSI laptops and desktops. Please help because I paid nearly $1000 for this laptop and I really like it and just want it up and running again.

Do you recall the version before attempting the update?

This is why I am asking (from the site above):

If your system BIOS version is E16J5IMS.106 or older version, please must update BIOS to E16J5IMS.107 before you update to the latest version (E16J5IMS.118 or newer version).

I'm pretty sure it's this one
E16J5IMS.106 because I did not update to the E16J5IMS.107

You may need to seek help from MSI on this one. I assume the system is under warranty.

No it's not under warranty sadly. I just wonder why measures weren't put into place to prevent this. Thing is I'm not the only one with this issue on this website I see a lot of individuals with the same issue. All because I decided to update the bios. Something I've been doing for years without any issue until now.

Usually, as you know, it isn't an issue. Sometimes, however, the fine print matters. Seems this is one of those cases.

You likely have a bricked motherboard at this point, due to the BIOS compatibility requirements. I really do suggest contacting MSI for help.

I'll contact them. Wierldy enough one guy managed to resolve the issue he had the exact same issue I have. But he doesn't know exactly what he did but he said he tried a bunch of stuff and then came back several hours later and it just started working for him. Wierd

If you get so lucky, try installing the .107 version and then the current version.

You have already reset the BIOS, so you options are fairly limited at this point.

Yeah gonna retry everything tomorrow morning and hopefully I get somewhere but yeah gonna contact MSI also.
