block text completely with message to sender

I wish to block all texts from a certain number and have it reply to sender with a message. I blocked texts from that number and they go into a "blocked messages" folder so the sender thinks they are still getting through and the harassment continues. This should be fairly simple but I find nothing that will accomplish this. Please advise.

True caller is the best app to block calls and message.

Android comes complete with the facility to reject a call and send a SMS back to the caller. Tap the Phone icon then the Call Settings bars. You'll see Set up call reject messages.

You can create a message and simply say "Your number is blocked by this user.".

In Messages (SMS) it's a matter of using Spam settings to block the number.

No external App required.
