Bluetooth problem Win 8.1

Hello,
I have installed Win 8.1 on my laptop (HP 15-r203tx) and everything was smooth, until I wanted to connect my bluetooth headset (Kinivo BTH240).

I went from Bluetooth system tray icon (right click) -> add a bluetooth device -> and the window just gets stuck at the Manage Bluetooth Devices screen. It just keeps on searching for devices.

I have installed the necessary drivers, uninstalled them and then reinstalled them again but to no avail. The headphones are in pairing mode too. I have also tried to connect my phones, but that didn't work either.

I have a bluetooth mouse on its way, and have yet not found a single way to connect it. Please help. Thanks.
