how do i get bluetooth to work on my laptop?
i have a asus f5r series laptop with 1gb of ram

You activate the other device -- mouse or whatever -- and then go to Control Panel, Bluetooth icon. If everything's working the other device ought to show up and when you have read the instructions that came with the other device you should be able to negotiate a connection.

no. i mean.. the laptop doesnt show any bluetooth software at all.

Update the drivers from the manufacturer's website. Check Device Manager.

i tried looking, it didnt show anything... i was lookingat some other posts here, and im thinking that maybe it doesnt have a bluetooth modual

You can add a USB Bluetooth adapter for very little money.
