Security protection that works for a home network (fios 300mg) with 7+ users, 4 of whom are professionals, desks, laps, pads/tabs and phns. McAfee failed (plus myriads of bogus support calls from far away places), as did Norton, Kapersky, Microsoft, Dell, Samsung and webroot. Suggestions, with experience references, if possible.

Phone calls *from* far away places are routine...hang up.

Phone calls *to* assorted -18xx support numbers from bogus emergency/'your system is blocked'-type-webpages are 100% user-training issues, and, the user's fault entirely, often leading to more calls from far away places...

Go only to trusted websites...have teenagers stay away from 'free game patches', 'free games', 'free music/video streamers', torrents, etc..

Give a computer to a 13 year old child, and your system will be plagued with browser hijacks and malware within the hour....; in such cases, you'd likely best be prepared with a quality imaging/recovery system like Acronis True Image, Macrium Reflect, AOMEI Backupper, etc...

(It is often easier to restore to/from fast storage to a recent image backup than to spend 5 -10 hours of 20 different malware tools trying to track down an infection...)

My own experience is that SecureAPlus blocks first, asks questions later....if you then allow it to occur, it's on the user at that point...
