Boot loop

Good evening all. Not sure if I have this in the right section but might be fairly close and I could not find what I needed in a search. Have a Viewsonic 7e Android tablet that is going through (I believe it is called this) a boot loop. Basically what it does is continuously cycles between the two Viewsonic login screens and never comes out of it. It is my sons tablet so I don't know what happened to cause it so don't have much information about that part. Please be gentle on the answer as I am not familiar with Android or navigating around in it.

Try and reset it using the button combination method for that tablet(I'm not familiar with it but it should be in the manual /manufacturer site) and see if that helps
