Hello,

Recently, I was looking at hybrid hdds. I did not want to spend the money on one so I came up with an idea. The idea is to boot windows faster using a SD card but then run the rest of the system off of the regular hdd. Is this possible? If so, is this a good idea? Also, if this can not be done, would redirecting the page file to an SD card make its access rate any faster?

Thanks

Would it be a good idea to store the page file on the SD card instead then or would that not make a difference? Also, the computer has 4gb ram and is soldered on so it can't be upgraded

SD cards write speed tops out at 10 Mb/s. About 1/10 that of a typical hard drive.
It will not make things faster.
