Brand new laptop taking way to long to boot up

I got a brand new toshiba windows 8 laptop last night, set it up (worked fine) went to bed. I woke up this morning, tried to turn it on, and 15 minutes later I'm still sitting on a black screen. What should I do?

Absolutely, return it.

As a small update I rebooted it at the 20 minute mark and it turned on at a much more reasonable speed. Just turned it on again with the same results, nice and fast. Just a hiccup hopefully?

Oh! I found the problem! I noticed that it happened again, and again, I always had to turn it on, reboot, and then turn it on. It was a quirk but I figured it out. I did a google search and found windows 8 "fast startup" ....which saves some data to boot up faster, but is known to sometimes cause computers to hang up. Turned that off, shut down, turned on again no problem!
