Budget Gaming Laptop Suggestions

I'm looking for a budget gaming laptop that is comparable to the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series, which comes with an Intel Core i5-6300HQ, an NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960M 4GB GDDR5, and a 15" non-touchscreen display for $749.99.

What are my options under $1000 if I want an Intel i5, an Nvidia 960m, and a 15" screen? Thanks.

Sounds pretty good right there. Could probably squeeze in a little more 'gaming' features with on one of the gaming laptop line ups.

I poked around. That looks like the best bet in terms of sub $1000 performance.

I would probably just buy my own SSD, clone the OS over, and call that a mid-range gaming laptop.

I have a similar Lenovo y410p though it has an i7, it included a GT740m. I found that adequate for moderate gaming levels at 1600x900. A GTX960M should do quite a bit better, equivalent to a desktop GTX750Ti.
