- Has agreed to buy me a laptop
- That too under 40K INR
- I can't decide what to buy

Now you guys please suggest me some laptops I can consider I won't mind buying another laptop fan for cooling.
I will also be using it for movies and Internet.
Thanks

Not familiar with stores in India at all, but perhaps the following HP Pavilion 15 is best within your limited budget. It has a dedicated Radeon HD 8670m graphics chip. It is considered more powerful than the nVidia GT 720m, but less powerful than the GT 730m. Compared to a desktop graphics card, it would likely be a little less powerful than the Radeon HD 6570.

Before I start, I'm from UK, not india. So I've converted your budget so it may not be correct.

40K INR is a good amount if you just want to buy a laptop to do internet browsing and stuff. When it comes to gaming, a laptop under that budget won't be able to run 80% of the games on PC.

Laptops which can run games at standard settings can still cost a lot of money, maybe around 60K INR for one. Consoles are honestly better choice when your on a budget. I know your dad doesn't agree but in UK, consoles cost around £150 (Under 20K INR)

Can you help me decide which laptop should I get from these 3 linked below?:

Thank you.

That one is pretty good I would go for it.

The original laptop I recommended has a slightly more powerful graphics chip, but it does not have Windows installed. It comes with "Free DOS" so that means you would have to buy Windows as well.

The Radeon HD 7670m should be enough to play Crysis 3 on low perhaps medium graphics quality at best. Crysis 3 is more or less the most demanding game currently out and the Radeon HD 7670m is a decent for a laptop graphics chip, but weak compared to a desktop graphics card. I would say it is a bit less powerful than a desktop Radeon HD 6570.

I'll start with the Asus and Toshiba. They have the same CPU and same graphics chip, but the Toshiba has a 1366x768 resolution screen while the Asus has a 1600x900 resolution screen. You will see more detail in games with the 1600x900 screen, but you will get lower performance because there are more pixels. To me, playing games at 1366x768 resolution is fine, but using it to do work / surf the net is limiting to me because I like to view a lot of information at a single time without having to scroll or minimize windows so I like having multiple windows open on the screen. Very difficult to do with only 1366x768 resolution. I would rather get the Asus for the 1600x900 and if necessary lower the resolution in games to get better performance. Doing this will make the graphics a bit less sharp though.

There is a problem with the Asus though. It only comes with DOS so that means you would need to buy Windows 7 or 8 and then install it on the laptop.

The Dell has a better graphics chip, but a weaker CPU. There are no benchmarks for, but Notebookcheck ranks it close to the GT 750m. The GT 750m is really not suited for 1920x1080. You will actually get lower performance compared to a GT 740m @ 1366x768 resolution. For games I would drop the resolution down to 1600x900 while using the full resolution on the desktop. Naturally playing games at 1366x768 resolution will result in better performance with the GT 750m vs. the GT 740m. Since the graphics card and screen cannot be upgraded, I would simply choose the Dell, but as I mentioned before, playing games at lower than max (native) resolution will mean the graphics are not a sharp.

The Dell has a weaker CPU since it is only dual core, but in most cases laptops with weaker CPU and stronger GPU tends to perform better in games than laptops with stronger CPU and weaker GPU.
