Question Building a Sony 3D VPCF21Z1E/BI LAPTOP

Hi, Not sure if i'm in the right place to post this question.

I have a Sony, product name: VPCF21Z1E/BI (model number PCG-81311M) 3D laptop, which is starting to fall apart. I have been looking for another one in very good condition for a while now, but am having no luck finding one. I know these laptops are quite rare and old now, but i love this machine and would like another one, if possible. Seeing that they are hard to come by, i have decided to build my own with new parts. Any ideas where i can buy all the parts/cables new? I am searching for a NEW piano black glossy top lid. I priced it in the uk, and was quoted a crazy price. Any ideas where i could get a new lid, for a reasonable price? The list below is what i've bought so far, and have other parts lined up, which i'll be purchasing shortly. I think i can source most of the parts, but not sure what cables/ribbon cables, i'll need for the motherboard, especially what goes on the other side of the board where the keyboard sits? I am going to use the 3d machine i have to see what parts i need, but won't be able see what's on the otherside of the motherboard, so i'm in trouble there. I was told i was crazy to attempt this, which is true, and i know no clue what i'm doing for the most part. Ha. I am not a techie person, but i have done a few small jobs to my machine, to nurse it along all these years, i.e. changed thermal compound, changed keyboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, have you considered just contacting Sony? Granted their site seems to have nothing on it, but if you contact them they may either have the parts, and just not have them listed, or have a source you can contact. Couldn't hurt.

Hi, thanks for your help. All the links to ebay, i already have checked out. Like i said in my post, i can most of the big parts, i.e. battery, ssd, dvd burner, etc... but finding it hard to source a glossy top lid, and all the cables/ribbon cables i'd need to build this unit. Thanks again. Cheers.
