Buy Lenovo y700 or Alternatives?

Hello,

I am thinking about buying the Lenovo y700 from Newegg (Link Here) and I was wondering if there were any other options at around the same price and quality. I looked around on Newegg and all the other things I saw were either too expensive, had some poor quality parts, or were missing features.

Asus and Acers options are pretty much the smae however asus' is cheaper and has usb type c, that's why I personally favour asus.

The asus GL552VW, I linked newegg just for reference, no idea where you are buying it from, but the specs are superb. Unlike the Lenovos and Acers, this one has a Type-C usb and 7200RPM hdd (the others come with no usb type-c and 5400RPM hdds), also the sound and screen are superb. The backlit keyboard is great as well. Only issues I have with it is that I have to clean the panel all the time because you can literally see the fingerprints, pretty sure it will be the same with the lenovo and acer however. Also I am not an Asus fanboy. I have the Lenovo y570 (4 generations before the lenovo y700), but back then the lenovos were 100$ cheaper than their competitors, now they are $100 more expensive.

OK, so it looks like the build quality is not the best on the Asus, but the features are slightly better. I might just buy whatever's cheaper when I buy it.

Build quality on the Asus is most likely better than the lenovo. The way that lenovo screen is held, that I wouldn't trust.

I've looked around, and it seems like the Asus has more build quality and stability issues.
