buying a laptop comparing 2

I'm looking for a new laptop, and comparing 2 at pc world. I want dvd writing capability, plus hdmi for tv films etc. I'm looking at Hp pavillion 15p245sa and toshiba satelliet l50b235. Both have 8gb ram, hp has i3-5010u, toshiba has I5-5200u, both seem very similar machines. Which is most reliable? Do either company have any bad history with relaibility? I want it to last me at least 5 years, hopefully more! The toshiba is £70 more than the hp, is it £70 better? Thanks, Peter
