Right so I want to buy this
http://www.cclonline.com/product/145532/NoMfgCode/Laptops/Asus-X550CA-15-6-inch-Notebook-Core-i7-3537U-2GHz-8GB-500GB-DVDRW-WLAN-Webcam-Windows-8-Integrated-Intel-HD-Graphics-4000-/NOT9872B8/
You think I should buy it, is it worth it? what about its cosmetic looks I mean should I care?, it's also plastic which makes it even more ugly

Also guys do you think this machine has good specs? will it last me like 4 years? It's not really for gaming, I already have a gaming machine just for university work etc 2d/3d games design/programming, also is it really ugly?

Solution
You may be able to get an acer v3 for that price with a gt 740 - 840m. I really would look for a laptop with a discrete gpu and not worry so much about the looks of the laptops as £500 is budget end.
For 3d work I would get a laptop with discrete graphics card as it will help as the Intel hd 4000 is not very good at handling 3d work. As for looks, it is up to you. I personally like the look of asus laptops. If you give me a budget I can try to find a laptop for you.

500 pound max :), internal memory is the least of my worries it could have 100 GB and it would be more than enough for me I have a 2 other pc's that have a TB, and also have a gaming machine + lots of cloud storage.
