Buying a new laptop

I am looking to buy a new laptop for gaming.

I have used dell in the past but was not overly impressed with them and had nothing but issues with the laptop i had from them.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good place to buy from (available to the UK online) that has good customer services and reasonable prices?

I had a google but have no idea where is good, where to avoid etc

The main thing to consider is your budget, how much you have to spend?
And I recomend to browse Amazon a little for some laptops, unless you are focusing on more expensive Gaming Laptops

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 15.6

3. What screen resolution do you want? not bothered

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? desktop replacement i think

5. How much battery life do you need? it will be mainly plugged in so any

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? world of warcraft on at least medium settings

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) browsing

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? 500gb at least

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links. This is what i need help with, I dont know what sites are reputable

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? at least 3/4 years

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? just the basic cd/dvd rom

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. none preferred over others except dont like dell because of bad experiences with them

They sell a rebrand from Clevo laptops which are known to be good and cheap. Build quality is okay, nothing fancy but you get the best performance for the price. Just upgrade the RAM from 4 to 8gb and consider buying an SSD later and you are good for 3/4 years like you desire.
