My relative who lives in USA is visiting India soon so I am planning to buy a Sager laptop from Xotic PC.
I have heard good thibg s about Xotic PC, & they also provide international warrenty.
But the condition is that we pay for shipping it back to USA and for returning it to India.
So has anyone had any experience like this for warrenty and how much will it cost me to ship it back to USA?
Will I need to play for customs when it returns back to India. Assume weight of laptop as 3.5-4kg probably less.

I decided not to go with xotic PC for my recent laptop purchase. The wait times and the fact they are more expensive sealed the deal (I saved about 150 dollars going with another super high rated company). I didn't have any issues with customer service but when I tried to price match a few laptops with xotic they wouldn't work with me. I wish I had a better experience dealing with that company. But it is what it is.

Amazon has a number of older ish models with savings nearing 600 dollars. I can't offer you an answer to your direct question, but the laptop you are buying might be a lot cheaper on Amazon right now.

You will have to pay customs.

You (and people checking out the thread) can buy Sagers from:

Malibal (US, Canada, Europe)
XoticPC (US, Canada)
Mythlogic (US, Canada)
Powernotebooks (US) <--- (Just got one from these guys actually)
ReflexNotebooks (Canada)
Illegear (Malaysia)
Schenker/mySN (GER)
Logical Blue One (AUS)
Affordable Laptops (AUS)
PCSpecialist (UK)

I hope that helps you out.

Thanks!! But still doesn't answer about international warranty.
Buying it cheaper is fine but i thinks the after sales service is the more important.
Like how much does it cost to ship a laptop for warranty purposes etc etc

True. But these re-seller if supporting international warranty specify that the laptop shipping done to and from their service centers should be done on customer expenses.
I want to know how much it will cost to ship any standard laptop. Also does custom duties apply on warranty couriers.....?
