1. 400-500 USD

2. I want a regular sized laptop, I just need to carry it around and prefer it not be heavy, but I dont want something so small.

3. 1366 x 768 + (I much prefer "1980 x 1080")

4. portable

5. At least 6-7 hrs+ under usage

6. Games?

Maybe dota 2 on med/high but dont increase the budget because of it. I'm fine with an intel HD 520 or so.

7. Tasks?

Browse porn with multiple tabs and watch it.

Word, Excel, many open tabs on chrome, apps on chrome to take online tests. Assume all if this will be performing at once.

Analysis programs that take data such as heartbeat rhythm or breathing volume and translates it into graph form.

No video editing.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

500 HDD is way generous, I'm fine with 300gb. I am more concerned with fast start up on boot and for opening programs like excel, word, and antivirus- Prefer faster program startup than boot if there is a difference in hardware for those two matters.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
Amazon, but will go to newegg and brand names for deals.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
4+ years, but mostly need it for 1 year.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
DVD ROM or CD ROM

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
As long as the brand has a history of reliability.

13. What country do you live in?
USA

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
Everything but the price is modifiable to fit me needs below:
I just want a laptop for school that has a long battery life under usage, fast start up, doesn't heat up easily, can handle multiple tabs for research on web browsers, quiet fan, doesn't cause me problems when I'm taking an online test under a web browser application.

can you find something better than this and is this going to open applications quickly? https://www3.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/ideapad-300-series/Ideapad-320-15-Intel/p/80XL035SUS?IPromoID=LEN874383#tab-currentmodels

I know it sounds like I want a chromebook, but I might want to perform functions that a chromebook cannot and while I don't yet know what those functions are, I don't want to find out after I buy a chromebook.
