I am looking to buy a new laptop for mid to high gaming for example starcraft 2 and fallout new vegas. My old laptop was an asus g60jx with the gts 360m card, its dead now. So far my Budget is about 1000. I want a laptop that will atleast run some games on med to high settings. so far this is what i have found narrowed it down to;

ASUS N61JQ-B1 16-Inch @ $1,019.54

This one has the ati graphics card, which i have read is better than the gt 425 "can anyone confirm that?

* Intel Core i7-740QM Quad-Core Processor 1.73GHz with turbo boost up to 2.8GHz
* 4GB of DDR3 1066MHz SDRAM, 2 slots, 8GB Max; ATI HD5730 graphics with 1GB DDR3 VRAM
* 500GB Hard Drive (7200 RPM); Super Multi Optical Disk Drive; Wi-Fi 802.11 bgn
* HDMI Port; USB 3.0 port; Bluetooth; 2.0MP Webcam
* 16-Inch HD (1366x768) LED Display; Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) Operating System

ASUS N73JQ-XV1 17.3-Inch @ $999.99

This one is just a tiny bit faster than the one above and has the nvida gt 425 card and a bigger screen

* Intel Core i7-740QM Quad-Core Processor 1.73GHz with turbo boost up to 2.93GHz
* 4GB of DDR3 1066MHz SDRAM, 3 slots, 12GB Max; Nvidia GT425M graphics with 1GB DDR3 VRAM
* 500GB Hard Drive (7200 RPM); Super-Multi Optical Disk Drive; Wi-Fi 802.11 bgn
* HDMI Port; USB 3.0 port; Bluetooth; 2.0MP Webcam; eSATA; 5-in-1 card reader
* 17.3-Inch HD+ (1600x900) LED Display; Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) Operating System

ASUS N53JF-XE1 15.6-Inch @ $1,029.99

This one has a i5 core and a full 15.6 in full hd screen with the nvida gt 425

* Intel Core i5-460M Processor 2.53GHz with turbo boost up to 2.8GHz
* 4GB of DDR3 1066MHz SDRAM, 2 slots, 8GB Max; Nvidia GT425M graphics with 1GB DDR3 VRAM
* 500GB Hard Drive (7200 RPM); Blu-Ray Combo Drive; Wi-Fi 802.11 bgn
* HDMI Port; USB 3.0 port; 2.0MP Webcam; eSATA; 5-in-1 card reader
* 15.6-Inch Full HD (1920x1080) LED Display; Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) Operating System

Currently I am leaning towards getting the first one with the ati card if it will improve the gaming graphics but i am still undecided, some persuasion plz. If anyone has better options please let me know.

Thanks for the reply, also i think its the one im going to pick but i was looking for some other laptops and found this one

ASUS G73JH-RBBX05 same specs as the laptops above; i7, 6 gigs ram, 17 inch, but it has the ATI 5870. This will run all in high :).

The downfall is that its refurbish and i have read that they might have to be fixed in order to work like. flash the bios change the drivers for vcard maybe add some better thermal paste And hope i dont get gray screen of death. Last laptop i had was g60jx refurbished for 600 and well it didnt last half a year. So i dont want to make the same mistake maybe get a 3 year warranty from squaretrade for the G73JH
