Bypass Toshiba push button start

I have a Toshiba p50w with a damaged ribbon cable that connects the power button to the main board. Is there a way to bypass the switch and power up the laptop? Parts are no longer in stock

There is no way around using it. Luckily the part is actually still available.

I ignored the list of places (they for some reason often don't refer to the right parts) and went straight to images. First image, right part, and the link I included above.

The problem isn’t with the plug connector. It is actually the push button which turns the laptop on. The laptop is fully charged but will not turn on due to the ribbon being damaged

Then replacing the part would resolve the issue.
