Why can't I download the latest Adobe Flasher on my 64 bit laptop? I have windows 7

I switched to Firefox as well as Chrome but am still unable to download the Adobe Flash Player that is suitable for my laptop.Everytime I try to view a vidoe clip it says get the latest Adobe Flash Player.Is the Bit Defender blocking the installation or is due to some other cause.

YES I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DOWNLOAD FLASH PLAYER USING FIREFOX.THANKYOU

The flasher is working fine now with mozilla.If I use Google Chrome do I have to down load another flash player?
