Cable connection problem

I just connect my cable direct to my tv without using digital box i do already scan it and glad i scan some of thechannel but the problem is the picture are snowy and its not watchable. The sound is great the only problem is the picture i already check thefrequency but still the same can you help me with this....

It sounds like your tv is set to Antenna mode and you are picking up the local broadcast stations; which you shouldn't be unless the 'cabling' is sub-par.
