I fully support this. Perhaps expand the scope to other drivers causing bodily harm too. Too many innocent, hard-working good people get killed in this world by those carelessly driving.
 
I don't know if they do this in any other states, but here in Minnesota they make you drive with special "Whiskey" license plates (special black-and-white license plates that begin with a "W") for a year after your incident as a form of shame-based deterrent. I actually got a DWI a little over a year ago, and let me tell you, it was the stupidest thing I've ever done and the worst experience of my life. Fortunately I didn't hurt anyone or damage anything, but I learned one hell of a lesson. Suffice it to say, that will never ever happen again.
 
The city council would be all for it until one of them gets busted for dui then all of sudden "its a private family matter" when someone asks em why they don't have their faces on the page.
