Camera suddenly wont read my memory card. Bought a new one and still says the same thing and my camera wont even let me format

Ive had this same camera and sd card for over a year now and have been taking pictures perfectly fine until today. Now my camera keeps saying "card cannot be read" and just displays this on the screen to where i cannot get to format it

Sounds like your camera just died. Time to buy a new camera.

As for photos, you can access them by just buying an SD card reader (and many laptops have one built in too)

Thanks for your comment although I really hope this isn't the case...as for my photos, thankfully i had them all saved on my laptop.
