Solved! Can a PC get virus/malware from an Android Phone?

I just plugged my laggy Android smartphone to my Brand new computer via a USB cable. Can it affect my PC with Virus/Malware etc because the autorun detected the phone as soon as I plugged in?

Technically, it is possible. For example, you could have an infected download that could infect your PC once transferred. Are you running any anti-virus app on your phone? Also, what anti-virus app are you using on your PC?

Well I had no anti-viruses. I am now downloading Bitdefender 2019 plus 30 day free trial to run a full system scan after the incident.
