I have a US 125v 50 hz. 12 guage 3 wires 15 amps power cord.

1. Can the US power CORD be used safely with a 240v 60 hz. 1500 watts appliance in a 240v electrical supply country?

2. Will there be a problem with the INSULATION capabilities/durability when connected to the 240v 60 hz electrical supply?

The voltage max should be marked on the side of the cable. Usally 300V is the standard appliance cord voltage limitation in the US. But if it just says 125V, it may be too weak. Although it would have to be pretty crappy if it wasn't safe with 240V. Be aware, you'll need a suitable adapter to go from US 3-prong to whatever style recep. is used where you will be going.

Hi clutchc,

You are right. Faintly stamped on the power cord is "300V". Thank you for your input.
