Can an i5 4200m paired with GT 750M SLI run BF4 multiplayer?

Is the dual core in i5 4200m good enough to;

a) Handle GT 750M SLI without bottlenecking,

b)Run BF4 multiplayer and Crysis 3

Are you trying to upgrade a laptop? (if you are, most likely you can't upgrade the CPU since they're usually soldered onto the board now... and GPU upgrades are literally impossible and not cost efficient)

No, I'm buying a new laptop. It's the lenovo y510 with 15 4200m and dual GT 750s

I'd recommend getting some kind of a i7 with a better single card GPU set-up...

But no. the i5 should not bottleneck the GT 750s in SLI.

BF4 and Crysis 3 will run like maybe high settings at 720p with those specs.

720p? so will an i7 in the same set up let me play those in 1080p?

nope. the GPU's too weak. (unless you want to play in low/medium mixed settings)

You obviously have not even looked into the specs of a 750m

Running in sli they are equiv to a 775m or a 680m

The i5 will be a bottleneck eventually down the road.
I have the exact laptop you where looking at and I can run bf4 at 1080p at around high/ultra settings on the i5 but on high capacity servers the processors starts to bottleneck them
