Yes. Any 2.5" SATA SSD would work.
Have you given thought to how you would transfer everything to this new SSD?

not yet i dont know how to either and what storage quantity should i need because i had a macbook once and was fine with 125gb but it almost got too close to the point where it was done

How much used space?

You probably could get away with a 500GB SSD.
