Can anyone recommend a better HTML editor?

I've come accross this neat little prog. called BlockNote.NET when looking for an HTML editor. Some info is on www.blocknote.net.

I am planning on buying it, and I am just wondering if anyone can offer me something better?!

It depends how advanced your HTML is. If you can read the source code, just use notepad. If not, then Dreamweaver is a good WYSIWYG editor. Do not, whatever you do, use frontpage!!!!!

Well in case you guys haven't understood.. I need to pick something that I can BUY and have a legal version of it. So $400 for Dreamweaver or &150 for Frontpage. brr.

I want something where you don't really have to know HTML.. too much of a drag for me to type all that

???

I hear Geocities has a great free editor for beginners.

Seriously, if you're really considering buying a *good* HTML editor, you should spend a few hours learning basic HTML. It's not difficult to learn, and it'll be infinately helpful in sorting out wierd bugs in your pages.

The question was if we could recommend anything better, and we did!
Personally I have never heard of this program. You get what you pay for, this might be enough for your needs. If so, buy it. If not, get something better.

Ok I guess I didn't phrase it right. Of course I've heard of dreamweaver. However, it's too expensive. Something under 100 that could be a good alternative?

hey, just thought I'd throw in...I haven't coded in a while but I like EditPlus a lot, the color coding is really handy, 'cause even the best of programmers miss a character here and there and it'll let you know. It's pretty cheap relatively also
