Can anyone tell me what happened and how?

Hallo,
Recently I was installing windows 7 on my laptop. Due to some reason I had to turn off the laptop which was still under the process of installation of windows in disk C.
Now it won't turn on . Basically a dialogue box appears stating no hardware ..
can anyone tell me what happened.?..

You probably terminated the install at a critical point where system files or drivers were being copied. You probably need to format the drive and start the install over.

Well I ve to agree with BadActor....the worst thing that could happen is that you would need to change your HDD. Try to format it by booting with the windows CD... Hope it works. Cheers
