The chip is very likely soldered into the motherboard. Only specific gaming laptop models costing at least $1,400 may offer an option to change your graphics chip. These laptops uses a MXM format slot for the graphics chip on a MXM card. Since this is an pretty expensive option only the more power graphic chips will come in MXM format.
