I'm experiencing slow performance issues with my Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Series and I believe I need to upgrade my RAM. Can anyone provide guidance on how to find compatible RAM?

During my online research, I came across a configurator that claims to assist in selecting the right RAM [. Has anyone here used similar tools before, and can they be trusted to ensure compatibility with the RAM?

I am not a fan of downloading an application to my system to scan it. Rather, I would use a site where I just enter the model number to get upgrade options, like this one:
