can i change my 32 bit Samsung RC418 laptop to 64 bit? need help ASAP

Im thinking of updating my ram (2gb) into 4 or even 8gb (if my laptop can). but an article said that a 32bit windows laptop cannot handle more than 4gb of ram. so, can i update my laptop to 64bit? and HOW? I really need some answers 🙁

There is no upgrade from 32 to 64 bits sadly; it requires a completely fresh install.

This model appears to be country-specific. In the specs, I can't find any references to max memory supported by that model.

So - unless you can fit 2x4GB sticks, there's no reason to go thru 64=bit version.
