Can i connect my labtop hardrive to another labtop

Hello, I just dropped my labtop. Now the screen does not work. I plugged it into a monitor and tried to boot up the labtop but it is giving me errors and it will not boot up. I have ALL my work on their and need to get to the information quickly. Can I plug this broken labtop into another laptop to get the harddrive nformation? Please assist

You can remove the hard drive and connect it to a desktop PC or another laptop as long as the connectors match. The hard drive might be damaged since the laptop didn't boot but you can try. You'll probably have to move data manually and re-install all your programs on the new device. There are adapters to connect IDE (PATA) and SATA hard drives thru USB too.
