This may be a bit off topic, but I was just wondering....
If the SAT company can contact my Tivo, why can't I?
Is there any way to log onto my Tivo from my computer and
tell it what to record?
Thanks,
jojo

There are several ways to do that for a ReplayTV, so I assume
some one has figured out how to hack into a Tivo as well.

Did you try the AVS forums?

Yes - but it's an extra-cost option. It's part of the Home-Media package.

Sorry, that doesn't apply to the DirecTV version of Tivo, only the stand

Activate what? Neither of my SD or HD Direct TV Tivo's have ethernet
ports.

Not any more. TiVo announced yesterday that HMP is now included with all
series 2 subs.

Did you mean no working USB ports? The hardware is there on some boxes at
least. I have one.

Well, low and behold there ARE USB ports on there. I never noticed them!
