can i keep my laptop on everyday?

is it safe to keep a laptop on overnight, like i keep my desktop on for months.

Yes, but remember everything is smaller and more stressed in a notebook.

Fans, in particular.

I keep my notebook on most of the time. I just close the lid and it goes to sleep or hibernation. Or stand by.

You might want to restart every once in a while to clean the cobwebs out. Clean out your cache, cookies, run scan disk and some maintainance programs, virus scans, spybot, etc.

Maybe even do a cold boot once in a while. Take it out to dinner or Starbucks every once in a while. Feed it.

The last time I took my laptop out to dinner though, it chose clams, and it got very messy. My date wasn't impressed either.

In fact, I never saw her again after that.

No loss, my laptop runs hotter than she ever did.

I'd rather have a hot woman than a hot laptop. Or a lap with a hot woman. Actually, at this point, almost any woman would do.

Or some of the famous pink clams.

kinda screws up the batt if you keep it plugged in all the time, if ur using it as a DeskTop replacement then take out the batt
