I will be playing DOTA 2 (2-3 games per day) and will use softwares like Eclipse, Android ADT, Visual Studio, etc. I've shortlisted this laptop:
--->Lenovo Z50 Notebook (4th Gen Ci5/ 4GB/ 1TB/ Free DOS/ 2GB Graph)
http://www.flipkart.com/lenovo-z50-notebook-4th-gen-ci5-4gb-1tb-free-dos-2gb-graph-59-429623/p/itmey8rv9qnwgfug?pid=COMEY7NJWEGHY6HF&srno=b_5&ref=b8b4a187-6e3f-49a1-9b4a-dd6ca53093af

Will I be able to play DOTA 2 on medium settings?? And is Lenovo's customer support service good??
Thanks in advance.

Hi, just a couple of pointers, yes an i5 and a good dedicated graphics card is the way to go, but after that i would sugest looking at the following:
Look for the ability to expand to an SSD, its usually cheaper to do this after purchase.
It may also be beneficial to set the SSD as the cache for virtual memory and turn this off on the standard hard drive, It will help prevent spikes when reading from the disk but may shorten the life of the SSD.
Also, I think im right in saying, Avoid a laptop that has only 1, ram stick, you really want 2 sticks to get the most out of DDR. (again it may be cheaper to add the 2nd stick after purchase)

This system isnt bad, and you can take wndows off to make it cheaper...

I would say you would have to play DOTA 2 on low settings for the laptop to not be a bitch and use those programs all at once.
It may work on medium settings but you will get lag spikes frequently.

The config is decent. But specifically this series of Lenevo seemed to cause heat issue (and lag because of it). It might be okay in the beginning, but a bit down the road, maybe after few months you can expect heat and lag issue from Z50. Specify your budget and i"ll throw some options.

My budget is around 40K-42K INR. Also suggest brands with good customer service as I'll be travelling with it to another state.

Enlisting some options.

*Acer E1-572G – NX.M8JSI.002

*Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series - http://www.dell.com/in/p/inspiron-15-5547-laptop/pd?oc=x540551in8&model_id=inspiron-15-5547-laptop

*HP 15-r007TX -http://www.flipkart.com/hp-15-r007tx-notebook-4th-gen-ci5-4gb-1tb-free-dos-2gb-graph-g8d31pa/p/itmdxtvs7g7hpvrg?pid=COMDXTVQGBNJFCGR&otracker=from-search&srno=t_1&query=HP+15-r007TX&ref=3a693d42-3d23-4a36-ba4d-8f76c6b29b46

*Asus X550LC-XX039D

I'd for Dell because of their after sales service, the config is decent as well in that price point.

Thanks for your suggestion. I would definitely look for the SSD option. And yes I plan to upgrade the RAM to dual channel after purchase.
