It would be extremely coincidental in my experience. If you remove the screen, check the position and size of the ribbon cable connector round the back. If you're buying on e-Bay, enlarge the photographs to check that connection position before buying.

There's no advantage in buying a potentially wrong screen - they're all around the same price.
