You shouldnt have an issue running csgo or games like it. The cpu should have a turbo boost it'll use during gaming, may throttle down a bit at times but shouldn't really be an issue.
I was watching a guy play csgo on an ideapad 720s with i7-8550u which runs at 1.8ghz and mx150, he averaged 80+ fps occasionally dropping to 60 which I assume is when the cpu drops it's clock speed.
What graphics card is it? 940mx or mx150? Mx150 will run csgo at 60-100 fps high settings (saw on a video), 940mx is about 30% less powerful than mx150
