Dealing with a older tv, can I run my sat tv sig through a digital converter box?

Don't have to, just tell you sat provider you have an old TV with... (Component[best],SVideo,Composite) connector, and they should have the right box for you.

If your TV is so old that it doesn't have any video inputs you can't run the sat box through the digital converter but you would use an antenna AB switch to choose the one you want to watch.
