Can I run this RAM?

I'm wondering if I would be able to run DDR3 memory in a laptop that currently has DDR3L the laptop is a ASUS P2520LJ-XO0088G.

Does changing the RAM or HDD void ASUS's warranty?

You need DDR3L also known as low power DDR3 for that system. As the CPU in the system requires it. Although using regular DDR3 might work it may damage the system or cause instabilities.
