Solved! Can I use a 90w charger in place of 180w

I have a Acer predator laptop which uses a 180w power adapter. The adapter is not working and I can't find a replacement. Can I use a 90w charger for the same? Will it cause any further to my system?

You MIGHT be able to use it ONLY to charge. Definitely wouldn't try to power the laptop from it.

If the voltage, amps,... are all the same you can use it for CHARGING ONLY. There is a reason the adapter is 180w. This means that your laptop when being used can consume a lot of power and once you go past 90w you can easily damage the charger, laptop,... by doing that. So in other words find an original charger. Contact acer as they will have replacement chargers.
